Bristol based Ollie Evans aka ‘In:sight’ has always had an ear for music. “My parents took me to festivals from the age of 6, I can still remember arriving at Glastonbury in 95 to see the Dance Tent for the first time, I was 14yrs old & far too young to go to raves, I’d never seen anything like it!” This gave In:sight the inspiration to get into DJing. 4yrs later he owned his first set of turntables & within a year Ollie was making regular appearances at clubs & bars in his home town. In 2002 he finished 3rd in the ‘Drive By’ DJ competition in Bath, but it wasn’t until he went onto win the worldwide ‘Liquid Funk’ DJ competition in 2005 that things really began to take off. Fast forward a few years & In:sight is now resident DJ for Hospitality Bristol, Sh*t The Bed, Signal & Intrigue. He has warmed up for some of the biggest names in Drum & Bass including Andy C, Fabio (BBC Radio 1), DJ Marky & High Contrast. Over the past 18 months In:sight has been concentrating on his production which now beginning to pay off with tracks being signed to Chronic Records for the ‘Big Bad & Heavy 2′ complilation, a recent signing to Liquid V plus forthcoming tracks on IM:Ltd, Offworld Recordings, Rotation Records & Echowide Music, not forgetting releases on Brazil’s infamous Luv Disaster label. His music is currently being supported from the likes of LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky, Bryan G, DJ Die & Logistics to name a few & not forgetting airplay from Fabio & Grooverider at BBC Radio 1 & both Bailey & Crissi Criss at BBC 1Xtra.
